Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The Last Animal
From The Last Animal by Abby Geni

"On my way to the hospital, I dialed Kenneth on the cell phone I had borrowed from one of the farm workers. I wept for a full minute before I could get out the words."

Hi Valentina,

Intriguing teaser lines made me want to know more about this book.

I have spent 15 or so happy minutes trying to decide which story your lines are taken from .... and failing!

The same way as I have a couple of choices about which story inspired that pretty creepy cover art.

I don't read an awful lot of short stories, however I have to admit that these sound like quite an intriguing collection, thanks for sharing.
