What genre do you avoid reading and why?
I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi. I can never get really into it, since the books are always much more ocncerned with world-building and technical terms than plot. I'm talking about the majority of them. I did enjoy The Dosadi Experiment by Frank Herbert, though. I'm not really sure why, since it wasn't very different from the other sci-fi books, but for some reason the story stuck with me for a bit.
I did try more books in that genre, but I still don't find myself enjoying them too much.

I do like sci-fi, though. As long as it's adult fiction. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm not huge on adult fiction, for some reason ya's got more spirit. Thanks for stopping by today!
I definitely know what you mean about sci fi being really technical. I don't like the technical stuff (which is why I still havent picked up any Jules Verne), but I was so surprised by how poetic and elegant HG Wells was. I still haven't read much of the genre, but I plan on reading more.
I am not a sci fi reader either, just can't understand most of what is happening. I confuse easily, so sci fi confuses me very easily...
I feel exactly the same but about fantasy. I tend to like science fiction much more than fantasy and will have to check out The Dosadi Experiment. If you're looking for a sci-fi book with great characters and an interesting plot, I recommend The Silver Metal Lover by Tanith Lee. It's about a human girl who falls in love with an android boy. It's one of my favorite books! :)
I love Crime Fiction to bits....I avoid YA and hate paranormal stuff.
Here is my BTT post!
I like Sci Fi but I'm pretty particular about what kinds of sci fi I like!
