What animal-related books have you read? Which do you love? Do you have a favorite literary dog? (Snoopy, anyone?)
Well, anything by E.B. White. I loved Trumpet of the Swan when I was little. I haven't read that many lately with animals as main characters. oh, except for The Parrot Talks in Chocolate by Everett Peacock, which has Tiwaka, a lovable parrot who steals every scene he's in.
You know, I love Odie from the Garfield comics. He's just so dumb but so cute.

I like Odie too and I like the cat from Rose is a Rose can't remember it's name.
Haven't read Trumpet of the Swan, but I enjoyed Charlotte's Web a lot. And I'm a fan of Odie and Garfield, too!
I can't believe I forgot about Odie, I actually have load of Grafield comics laying around somewhere in the house.
