Theme Thursday

This meme is hosted by Reading Between Pages.

Here are the rules:

A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This Week's theme:

BUILDING

"The early settlers had carved the tunnel from the rock using heavy machinery that left the walls smooth, but time had gently coaxed the grain of the rock out and no it felt lined and ridged."

pg. 37 Heirs of Mars by Joseph Robert Lewis

Great choice - I like that you've chosen to use building as a verb.

Your blog background is gorgeous - I just want to sit and look at it. :-)

Happy reading!
