Follow Friday

Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

I read all kinds of fiction, so I don't really have a comfort zone, per se.  However, I do occasionally pick up a non-fiction book if it catches my interest. Usually, they tend to be about psychology or psychiatry, sometimes about animals. I'm not a huge memoir reader, but I do have to say that
Immortal Bird: A Family Memoir by  was a beautiful book that was hard to put down.

I'm still in school so that gives me my fill of non-fiction books, but I really want to try memoirs!

I'm not a big fan of non-fiction either... and my outside-my-genre is quite different from yours :)

I'm not a huge Non-fiction reader but I do have a favorite - Into the Wild - about Chris McCandless. I lived in Alaska when his story first broke so I have a soft spot for it. I loved the movie but the book is so much better (as is the case in most instances) :)

That's awesome that you enjoy so many genres! I am too invested in paranormal reads myself! Although I have given some dystopians a try, most of them do have paranormal elements in them though! As do the steampunks and mysteries that I like to read too!

Here's my Follow Friday

I'm a science fiction junkie! Steamy romance and PNR are what I read out of my genre! :)

Thanks for the follow, returned favor!

Psychology is fascinating, and so is psychiatry. I also love history, as far as non-fiction goes. I read Into The Wild, and loved it, own the movie too. Just recently read Yes Chef by Marcus Samuelsson, it was really fascinating.

Happy Friday!
