What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

Twilight. I saw the first movie and hated it, so I've stayed away from the books and the rest of the movies. There's better stuff to read out there, so I don't think I'm missing anything crucial. Same goes for Fifty Shades of Grey.

I've read the Twilight book and seen the movies. it's one of those things where the book is better than the movie...but the hype isn't all that

To be fair, the first Twilight movie was AWFUL in my opinion. The books were really good and the other movies eventually got better. Fifty Shades .. yea you're not missing anything lol.

Twilight got me back into reading after a very long dry spell (from having kids), so I will never fault the books, even though I know they aren't the best :)

It took me a little bit before I hate Twilight. I read the books. Thought they were okay, nothing special. Saw the first movie and thought it did pretty good at sticking to the novel. Then when I was sitting in the theater watching the second one with friends who enjoyed the series as well, something happened...can't remember what and Bella was sad or something, not when Edward left her but after I think...and all I remember was wanting to burst out laughing!

That's when I knew I was totally done with Twilight! The books went straight to the donate pile after that!

I was interested in Twilight as pop culture phenomenon more than what was actually being presented. I unfortunately laughed during one of the 'serious' moments in the last movie which resulted in dozens of middle aged women death-glaring me.

I have to say I've read both series but there are so many other books that everyone seems to have enjoyed and I haven't read yet. Ah, too many books, too little time...

Happy Weekend!
