Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

From The Fortune Hunter by Daisy Goodwin
The Fortune Hunter
"Was queen Victoria a kitten or a codfish?
Charlotte hesitated."

pg. 3

I love the cover on that book. And that teaser just makes me wonder why the person is asking such a question. Sounds interesting though. Thanks for reading My Teaser

Hi Valentina,

I have seen this book around the circuit a few times now, although I have yet to succumb and add it to my own reading list.

Your short lines are totally teasing and intriguing ... Queen Victoria was surely never compared to a kitten during her lifetime, so I just hope that Charlotte knows what she might be letting herself in for .... no wonder she is hesitating!!

Thanks for sharing and I hope that you are enjoying the book so far,

'A queen or a codfish' this made me think of Peter Pan, like asking her to choose if she's one of the good guys or the bad guys. Very cute, and this teaser makes me want to know more about what the story is about! Cool pick! My Teaser.
