Booking Through Thursday

All things being equal, which would you prefer–a mystery? Or a love story?

Why can't I have both? I love a good Jane Eyre-like story, where there is both a bit of a mystery and a sweeping love story. If I absolutely had to choose, I'd probably go with a mystery, mainly because so many of the love stories being written nowadays (or at least they ones I've read) are so cliche and over the top that they make me roll my eyes more than anything.

Jane Eyre, yes the ultimate blend of mystery and romance - great choice.

Cliched love stories have really turned me off of romances in general. Thankfully I still have mysteries. :)

Love stories really are over the top now. Much prefer mysteries!

A mix of both would be good, Jane Eyre is a great example.

Yep! Love stories lately are so eye roll inducing. I'll stick with a good mystery.

It's best when there are a mix of the two! :D

I still like the PBS Masterpiece Classics version of Jane Eyre that aired a few backs in comparison to the 2011 motion picture.
