This week’s musing asks…
What is the last book you struggled to read through to the end, even though you weren’t really enjoying it? What made you keep reading?

I would have to say Cleansing by Fire by Y.S. Hassan. It was a book I was reviewing, so I had to finish reading it to have a good sense of the plot developments, but it was not one I enjoyed too much. If you're interested, my review is here.

Honestly, part of the reason I won't review books is because I'm afraid I just won't be able to finish them. I have such a hard time reading something I haven't chosen myself.
From the name & cover it looks like it would be a struggle! I know you're not suppose to judge books by that, but I do and it always works out for me haha!
That is one of the reasons I don't very often accept books that I have to review. I have so many good books waiting to be read, that I choose myself, that I don't want to be tied down to reading a boring one that I will need to review.
I'm very fussy when it comes to accepting review books. Almost always I only accept books I think I will enjoy. So far, I've been pretty successful.
Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog!
I wish I'd get books to review! Given where I live, that's not likely to happen any time soon. But when I think of how I'd be compelled to read something I don't want to, I feel kind of relived that I don't get books to review.
