Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish.
Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All they ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
This Week's List: Top Ten Favorite Minor Characters ( you know... all those great supporting character or a VERY minor character that might have been only in there a page or two but had an effect on you)
1. Katerina Ivanovna from Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. She appears quite a lot throughout the book, but is not one of the most crucial characters. I just love her strength despite having a debilitating illness.
2. Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. He's a pretty cool dude, although he does end up killing Nagini (poor little snake).
3. Bupu from The Dragonlance Series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. She is beyond adorable, albeit a little on the smelly side.
4. Georgiana Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. She doesn't appear much but I've always thought she was a very interesting character.
5. Frederick Fairlie from The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. His neuroses had me rolling on the floor in laughter. Fabulous character.
6. Seraphina from the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I don't know why I like her, really, I just find her really cool.
7. Blaine the Mono from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. A demented monorail who adores riddles? Yes, please!
8. Dandelo from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. He is just soooo freaky. I was actually scared while reading the scenes in which he appears.
9. Helen Burns from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. She is a really interesting character, and probably the first person to show Jane affection.
10. Hedwig from the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling. I just love her and I was so sad when she died. I couldn't believe Rowling had killed her off.

How could I not have thought of Hedwig? You are so right!
The rest of your list is great too, but Hedwig has my heart.
Hedwig is such a creative answer! I wanted an owl so desperately after I read the first book, and anytime I saw one (which was rare in the Australian tropics) I'd cross my fingers and hope it was carrying some mail for me!
Hedwig was a great choice!
Georgiana Darcy is a great choice, I always thought she was lovely.
