I love the cover of "Slate". Looks like it must have been a fun read.
If you're interested in reading "The Raven's Bride," you might want to read this post of mine. I found some--well, incredible similarities, let's say, between that book and a much earlier novel about Virginia Poe. It's a very strange business.
