I rarely don’t finish a book, but this one is sadly in that small pile of exceptions. I got half way through and had to step away from the pages or I was going to have a nervous breakdown.
It’s not just that the plot has about as much freshness as a sweaty sock, but they execution is amateur at best and painful at worst. I realize this is geared towards younger audiences, but I think even tweens will be a bit taken aback by the corniness.
I will not beleaguer the point because as I said, I didn’t finish reading it, but I cannot in all honesty recommend it.
If you have patience and a hugely open mind, then you might get something out of it, otherwise leave it alone.
