Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This meme was created because we are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists! Each week we will post a new Top Ten list complete with one of our bloggers’ answers. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND fill out Mr. Linky .
Top Ten Tuesday Rewind is a chance for you to go back through the archives and chose a past TTT that you want to do, or maybe even redo! The best part is that the linky is going to be like a grab bag! You won’t know what it is until you get there!
I chose:
What are your top ten Favourite Book Characters?
1. Raistlin Majere from the Dragonlance series by MArgaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. He is just fabulous in every way.
2. Snape from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I love this character's secrecy, the duality to his nature.
3. Lord Voldemort also from the Harry Potter series, because he is so wonderfully evil. He is just one of those villains you love to hate.Plus, he has a pet snake, so of course I love him.
4. Sherloch Holmes from the stories by Arthur C. Doyle. His intelligence and his quick-thinking has always drawn me to him.
5. Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen because she is so real, everything about her, every thought is so grounded in real human behavior. I love recognizing myself in her actions.
6. Rodion Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. He is torn between following his instinctual side while his intellectual one cries for attention. Wonderful, complex character.
7. Anita Blake form the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. She is just a no-nonsense kind of woman, which is the best kind. Love her sarcasm.
8. Lisey from Lisey's Story by Stephen King. She starts off like a typical housewife, but progresses to a powerful, muti-dimensional woman who sets out to defend herself and her husband's memory.
9. Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. He is the classic anti-hero and I just love his fierceness.
10. Roland Deschain from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. He is coolness personified.
Interesting that the majority of my favorite characters are either the anti-hero or the outright villain. I wonder what that says about me.

I don't think I could narrow my favorite characters down to just ten, but I love that you included Heathcliff and Snape!
My rewind list is Top Ten Favorite Book Quotes.
I haven't read any of those books apart from Harry Potter, but I have to agree that Snape and Voldemort are some of the best characters ever. Snape is definitely a favourite - I love him!
Books of Amber
I hope that someday I will be able to say that a character from Crime and Punishment is one of my favorites. Good for you!
Here's my post for Top Ten Tuesday, a list of the books that most intimidate me.
And I'll be part of the Easter Eggstravaganza Blog Hop Giveaway that begins tomorrow. I hope you will stop by my blog and enter my giveaways to try to win some great prizes.
Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite books, I love reading about Heathcliff, such a tortured soul.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
I'm sure that I had Elizabeth Bennet on my list of favorite literary characters when I created the list a few months back.
All fantastic characters! :) I definitely agree with Snape, I loved him, but especially his relationship with Lily.
